The ProVista 100 2-Stage Aluminum Tripod with 100mm Bowl from Davis & Sanford is a workhorse of a tripod that provides heavy-duty support for video cameras. With its 100mm bowl, you can attach any professional video head (sold separately) with a corresponding 100mm half-ball for precise leveling. With double-strut leg construction for the upper section, this tripod can take just about any load – the ProVista 100 supports up to 80 lb.
The tripod reaches a maximum height of 60" and gets as low as 14". It also features an adjustable mid-level spreader for added support. Adjustable flip locks mean that leg-section locks will not simply "give out" over long periods of time – you can tighten them to maintain the ProVista 100's integrity. Even with the spreader included, the heavy-duty tripod weighs just 8 lb. A 75mm bowl adapter is included for use with heads that have a 75mm ball base.

Great Tripod
The Provista 100 is strong steady and stable. It is lightweight, quick and easy to use with leg locks that can be adjusted for heavy loads if need be . This tripod has solid performance. This good looking, affordable tripod, comes with a nice tripod bag. I love that it is lightweight with a floor spreader that adds stability and easy to set up. It easily attaches to a standard dolly for dual spiked feet . Tiffen gives 10 year warranty which adds to peace of mind. The Provista 100 is the best that the market has to offer in this price range. Nice black anodized finish. Stores securely. Made very well to withstand years of use and abuse.

This tripod is for those who need extended payload for heavy rigs but can't afford a proper one. It is sturdy but the construction is a bit coarse. The main problem I found is that it isn't as solid as it should, and you'll find yourself balancing the fluid head everytime you move the tripod, as the legs are a little flaccid and won't return to the same position. The spreader is a nice addition. It is good value for money though, and perhaps the best one on the price range.

Ok for the price
Tripod looks nice but when you extend it and put about 20lbs of weight the legs give out. It says it can hold 80lbs but only with the legs down. Once you extend the legs it takes about 20lbs of weight before legs give and slide down. I have attached a 35lb jib and can only use it at the lowest height, whenever I try to extend the legs, the legs give and it slides.

Nice 100mm legs
Tripod is really sturdy and lightweight. Comes with carry bag and floor spreader We have put 80 pounds of weight on our tripod. Another reviewer said the legs were slipping. There is an adjustment in the back of the leg lock if this happens. Really happy this this tripod

Good price, but legs slip
The price is nice, but I had to return mine because the legs kept slipping if extra weight was put on the tripod if the legs are extended. I got the tripod because it said it can hold a good amount of weight. I put a pocket jib on it with about 30 lbs total and it would not hold. I was hoping that a previous review was just unique to that person's experience, but it happened to me too.
